VTV grabs awards all across Midwest!

Midwest Media Educator's Association State Video Contest
VTV had a banner day at the MMEA State Video Contest on Friday, April 27. In all, the crew won nine state awards (tied for the most) and the most H-F has ever won in this contest.

  • Natural Audio News - 3rd Place - Liam O'Connor & Jasmine Franklin

  • TV Show - 3rd Place - Jasmine Franklin & Tiki Brown

  • News Program - 3rd Place - Asante Hayes

  • Dramatic Narrative - 3rd Place - Asante Hayes

  • Commercial - 3rd Place - Grace Sowacke & Griffin Carter

  • MMEA $2,500 SCHOLARSHIP WINNER- Sam Ogali

National Association of Television Arts & Sciences Video Contest
VTV also did well in the recent NATAS video contest. These winners will go on to a national contest, and attend a formal banquet May 4th in Chicago, where they will meet and mix with celebrities in the business.

Women's Press Association Video Contest
This is the 2nd year VTV entered this contest, and once again did extremely well, winning the Silver Pen Award for the school with the most Awards. First place winners will go on to a national competition.

Golden Lion Awards 
VTV, plus Mr. Holdren's Digital Film students, participated for the first time in the Golden Lion Awards, held in Cincinnati. HF won more awards than any other school, earning a new Film Camera in the process!
